1) I think flash can create more advanced and interactive web pages.
2) Flash is a Macromedia product and I would guess it is owned by microsoft.
1. Flash can create presentations, slideshows, video games, and general other web applications. So I think.
2. Macromedia created Flash, and I believe they're owned by Adobe now (as Photoshop's effects and filters have been appearing in the latest version - Flash 8).
